John Potter is a Principal of Torrey Partners and offers over 15 years of experience providing business valuation, economic loss analysis, business consulting, and accounting services to clients involved in dispute resolution and tax matters, as well as business management involved in the private sector.

Mr. Potter’s industry experience includes construction, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, technology, professional businesses, non-profit organizations and small businesses.  His business appraisal experience includes comprehensive written reports and analyses prepared for estate and gift tax purposes, marital dissolution, ownership transfers, eminent domain and other consulting and dispute resolution matters.

Mr. Potter is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting Major).  He is licensed in California as a Certified Public Accountant and is accredited in business valuation by the American Society of Appraisers and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, among other designations.  Prior to joining Torrey Partners, Mr. Potter worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen; as a Director at Mack|Barclay; and as a Senior Managing Consultant at LECG.
